Kenneth Francis Music Biography

Kenneth began his musical career at the age of 14 by being the first drummer to receive the Los Angeles Unified School District Musicians Scholarship, which gave him pre-admittance into the Los Angeles Children’s Philharmonic and allowed him to study with the founders of the Musicians Institute, Ralph Humphrey and Joe Porcaro as well as percussionist Dave Smith.

Kenneth began touring the United States and Internationally at the age of 17 by joining the Touring Cast of Beatlemania, at times playing to crowds of 22,000 people as the roles of “Ringo” (’86-’89), “George” (’89-’91) and “John” (’91-’93). Kenneth also toured extensively with the Legends in Concert Tour working as the guitar/keyboardist.

In 1994 Kenneth released one of the first “Enhanced Multimedia CD’s” through the ITRAX Music Label with his band Bahu Baru, entitled “Blue Road” and distributed nationally through the NAVARRE Corporation. His CD met with outstanding reviews and was featured in such television and print as the CNN News Channel, NBC’s Extra, Entertainment Tonight, Billboard Magazine, Mix Magazine, The Hard Report, FMQB, The Album Network, R&R and many others. The Blue Road CD was featured as a mural on the side of the world famous Tower Records on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, California. His CD received national radio airplay and was featured as a full 30 min spotlight on such Los Angeles stations as 95.5 KLOS FM and 101.9 FM with Mimi Chen as well as Seattle’s “The Mountain” 103.7 FM. Included in the band’s touring Bahu Baru made many appearances playing live “in-store” performances for the Sam Goody’s Music Store chain.

Most recently Kenneth co-produced, mixed, and performed on Ten Jinn’s 2023 album release, Ardis, on Melodic Revolution Records and performed at ROSFEST in Sarasota, Florida with the band. Ken co-wrote The Red Virgin (Ardis) and Beautiful Marquise (As On A Darkling Plain) and has a long history with Ten Jinn co-producing, mixing, and performing on Alone (2003) Sweden Rock Records / Musea – As On A Darkling Plane (1999) Wildman Records and Wildman (1997) Wildman Records.

Kenneth has spent the last 13 years as a music director in Los Angeles and owns Babaji’s Cave Recording/Mixing Studio in Van Nuys, Ca. Ken is currently (2024) excited to be working in the band Box Of Shamans with fantastic musicians. He is also recording a collection of prog rock EP’s inspired by the sanskrit epic, the Ramayan.

Ronny Lapine Biography

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Ronny relocated to Colorado in the 90’s and opened shows as a solo act for Leon Russell, Karla Bonoff, Ben Harper, Bela Fleck, Tab Benoit and Firefall to name a few. His singing and songwriting ranges far and wide, covering Progressive Rock, Classic Rock, Folk, Blues, R&B and Country. In 2024 he released a solo singer-songwriter album titled Late Bloomer. Currently he is lead singer and co-writer for the highly touted Progressive Rock band, Box Of Shamans.
